Biography

A graduate of Princeton University, Emma Penick majored in Sociology, magna cum laude. After college, Ms. Penick moved to New York to begin her career as a strategy consultant with Mercer Management Consulting. Ms. Penick then attended Harvard Business School where she focused on the entertainment industry. Her summer internship was in the Strategic Planning Group at Universal Pictures.

Post business school, Ms. Penick returned to Mercer to continue her focus on the entertainment industry, and then left in 2005 to concentrate on writing and editing. After working with authors to edit their books, she progressed to agenting, thereby combining past experience in and passion for both editing and business. Ms. Penick is currently working with both non-fiction (current events, true crime, memoir, politics) and fiction (general, suspense) books.

Ms. Penick takes publishing courses (New York University) to keep her skills up to date.
